The Tree of Life exists in many cultures, it’s roots pulsing with the primordial archetypes of what has gone before, it’s trunk firmly in the here and now, it’s branches and leaves looking out to the future and what is to come.

Stories are it’s splinters, working themselves under our skin, pushing themselves into our psyche, into our slumbering synapses and connecting us with something bigger than us, re-membering us.

Join Katrice Horsley and Michael Stork as they share ‘Splinters.’ Using story, song, poetry and music they offer us a message of hope and understanding in a world darkness and judgement.

As a rap vocalist and poet Michael has forged a winding path over the last fifteen years through numerous albums and live shows. Stylistically he is unabashedly expansive. He messes with hip-hop, dubby rock, industrial, electronic dance music, soul, folk and spoken word. Michael has been the singer/songwriter for the Birmingham-based rock’n’rollers Hawker and the squeezebox player for the live junkyard blues group The Army of the Broken-Hearted. Presently he is the front man for Flight Force Five, an eclectic five piece that will be touring festivals this summer.

Over the last 25 years Katrice has forged a career as a lyrical and passionate performer and as a consultant and trainer using Narrative as her main tool. She has written The Evaluator’s Cookbook, The Small Creature and is presently writing a new book based on her Narrative4Change Programme. She has performed internationally both as a performer and as a Consultant and Conference Speaker. She has also worked and appeared on the BBC as well as designed training programmes for the British Heart Foundation, UNICEF, Red Cross, and the British Council to name but a few. She is a passionate advocate for the uses of story and of giving voice to those who struggle to be heard.
